Soleil qualified for the first year award for the Des Moines Golden Retriever's "Most Versatile Golden Retriever for 2006". She did this by titling in three different performance venues in 2006. She received her CDX, Companion Dog Excellent title in Obedience: An RE, Rally Excellent title in Rally; and OA, Open Agility Standard title in Agility.
We worked hard to try and be competitive for this new award and were one leg shy of getting our Open Agility Jumpers title too in 2006. That would have been icing on the cake, as they say, since we didn't need it to qualify anyhow. Soleil is working hard to certify for tracking this year as well as continuing her quest for additional legs in agility and she is making a good attempt at learning utility skills for obedience. We are proud to be the recipient of this award and are enjoying the beautiful wood and bronze statue that comes with it for this coming year! Thank you to Jerry and Karen Lewis and their daughter Deb Ascher for creating this award in honor of Jerry's Golden, Chammy. Chammy is one of the most multi-titled goldens in our history!!!! Congratulations Jerry and Chammy! You have set the bar very high!
